Apple’s September 9 launch highlighted the debut of the iPhone Air, a 5.6mm-thin device hailed by Tim Cook as the “biggest leap ever for iPhone.” It is the first addition to the product line since the iPhone X in 2017 and is priced at $999.
The new iPhone family incorporates the A19 Pro chip and the N1 wireless chip with support for Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread. Pro editions add vapor chamber cooling, and all versions introduce the Liquid Glass design paired with iOS 26.
Apple also announced the Watch Series 11 with hypertension detection and 5G, the Ultra 3 with satellite connectivity, and the AirPods Pro 3, priced at $249, which deliver heart-rate monitoring, expanded workouts, stronger noise cancellation, and live translation.
Updates to Apple Intelligence were modest, with analysts pointing to 2027 as a likely milestone for more substantial AI advancements.
