Google’s AI Mode expands globally, adds new agentic features

Google is rolling out AI Mode to a global audience, making the feature available in 180 more countries in English. Previously, it was only active in the U.S., U.K., and India. A wider language rollout is on the horizon.
The company has also upgraded AI Mode with “agentic” functions, enabling tasks such as booking dinner reservations. By considering multiple parameters, the tool can compile a custom list of restaurants in real time.
At the same time, U.S. AI Ultra subscribers — Google’s $249.99 premium plan — are getting early access to these new functions through Labs experiments.
Google is also enhancing personalization: results now reflect past user behavior, starting with dining-related searches. In addition, users can share results directly with others, opening the door to collaborative use cases such as planning a trip or event.
